A Small Rescue, Doing Big Things

Hound Education and Rescue Operations, aka Hero Hound Rescue, started in 2020 in the beagle loving home of the Bowen family of Spring Hill, Tennessee.

In 2019, the Bowen’s began fostering beagles for rescues across the United States in order to help save lives by getting beagles out of high risk Tennessee & Alabama shelter and onto new lives. During this year of rescue, the Bowen family fostered & provided temporary shelter for more than 100 dogs.

With so many beagles and hounds in need, the Bowen family decided to start HERO to help the ones that many rescues could not commit to due to high medical costs, behavioral issues or being hounds too large for most beagle rescues.

We are still a small foster-based rescue, but we are proud to say we are doing big things by continuing to committing to those beagles and hounds in the most need of saving including high risk medical, seniors & hospice pups.
